There really is a Santa Claus.

Unfortunately he does not live at the offices of the VSAC.

We will not be holding our event as scheduled at The Patriot Center however we have managed to successfully move our entire event to Oklahoma.

I want to apologize to the local fighters and fans and express my gratitude for your support. It was a pleasure meeting you.

I also would like to personally thank Santino Defranco and the rest of our amazing team that has been working round the clock to ensure that the fans match-ups can be seen live on Sept 10th.

You also have to look at it from the radio station's perspective. This is a real radio show in Washington DC. Luke has mentioned several times that the UFC is the only thing that generates ratings. It doesn't make sense for a radio show in DC to waste time talking about a small time show that isn't in the area.

LOL You honestly think Zuffa gives a fuck about Shine? More importantly, do you honestly think Zuffa has a close relationship with ALL of the athletic commissions? They've done one crappy UFN in Virginia. They have no 'close' relationship there. Sure, they are tight with the BIG commissions in states/provinces where they run a lot of shows, but they don't have an ongoing close relationship with all 40-50 commissions in states/provinces where they run a show once every blue moon (or not at all in some cases).

Actually, I do have a connection to it. See, I am a fan of Mixed Martial Arts. I don't like to see fighters getting screwed over by scummy promoters and organizations. Organizations thrive off money which comes from the fans. I think all of us have a connection to it. However, I am choosing to disconnect myself from this abomination of an MMA organization. I am simply going by what basically EVERYONE involved except Shine are saying. You know, the venue, the doctor, the commission, the fighters... not that their ''opinions'' hold any merit over the obviously honest and brilliant folks in charge of Shine. They can try and sway the fans by having guys like Beau and Jason, respected UG members, promote and try to ''play ball'' with the fans with silly little things like letting us choose the first round match ups of the tournament. They may even succeed in this, but they won't sway me. I don't care who fights who in that tournament because I won't be watching. For those who don't wish to read my FRAT, allow me to reiterate my original statement prior to this response: Fuck Shine.

lets just say that the Athletic commissions have some very close relations with the UFC, i doubt that the fan matchmaking was the reason your license was pulled, the Fertitas basically own the major commission heads

Me too it's a great card. Shark draws a great crowd with just local talent, so I don't really understand why they are doing this ppv with name fighters. Good Luck to them though.
