Gilbert Yvel removed from the UFC’s heavyweight roster

Gilbert Yvel has been removed from the UFC’s heavyweight roster and as a direct result, anatomic biologists still don’t know the fastest way to extract a spleen from the human body. The silver lining to this cloud is that the remainder of the UFC heavyweight division and their respective spleens are safe.

New test subjects for Gilbert will have to come from another organization’s’ heavyweight division in 2011. As excited as we were when the Hurricane was signed to the UFC is as equally bummed out we are of him leaving. At least we’ll always have his highlight reel tattooed in our memory.

Yvel was never really an elite level guy anyways his whole career, he was a side attraction that had some good Thai skills (not great).Cool of the UFC to give him a chance but ultimately it went exactly as expected.

Whipping out ignorance. Read voting patterns per ethnic group, and socio-economic stats. If everything you're unaware of was deemed made up, there would be no encyclopedias.

He has an 8-4 record in the UFC and his only two definitive losses(since he has two split decision losses) in the UFC have been against two top 10 fighters(Mir and Cain). Exactly why the hell shouldn't he remain and what's so "lol" about it?

he looked a bit out of shape against Madsen I thought.He was always big, but reasonably lean.In that bout, you could really see he had gained some extra "padding".He's getting on in years now anyway, ain't he?Shame - he was once a hurricane; now, he would qualify maybe as a force 10 gail at best.He left his thai boxing roots behind in holland anyway, when he moved to america to train.Somehow I have a notion that a change like that affects a fighters lifestyle and can fuck them for the fight - not to mention he's neglecting he's strongest suit in that fight, the stand-up - by trying to compensate for his weakest, his wrestling.
