Think of it like this: if Jake's striking sucks (and it does), and he's now getting top-notch training to improve it (which he is), then he will be THAT much better of an MMA fighter. Already good = small gains. As it is now, he can make large gains. Then again, there's no substitute for being a natural, so his gains will be very finite.

Glad Jake is working on his stand up, because be looks like an amateur in that video and he definitely needs some work. He's still a great example of how you can dominate in MMA by being far superior at one aspect of the sport. If he becomes a threat on the feet he'll be a serious force.
