RE: JT vs KJ (Kawajiri)Another great non-UFC LW bout and a good follow up on the heels of bouts like JT vs JZ, Gil vs Aoki, Aoki vs KJ, KJ vs JZ.KJ finally broke thru with a top win over JZ though it was when JZ was coming off injury. JZ and JT were close enough to have called a draw or for either to get the nod. I cant remember who was really getting the better of the standing action between JT and JZ but both had their grappling moments. KJ also has good wrestling, passing, GNP, ok subs. Size wise, JT is huge, got the reach. Was he much bigger/stronger than JZ? KJ i think about equals JZ in size/strength, if not for striking power than in grappling power? I think its a pretty evenly matched bout but give slight edge to Josh.RE: Aoki vs Gil IIHas Aoki earned the right to rematch yet? On the fence imo. He was so thoroughly dominated by Gil over not 3 but 5 rounds that its hard to imagine Aoki beating Gil. I do agree the ring will make some difference. Aoki has come out and not just beat but destroy a common and top opponent in KJ - KJ and Gil fought years ago and again was close enough to have gone either way. I wouldnt mind seeing Aoki winning another big match before getting a rematch. Does the Aurelio win cut it? Sort of maybe but not really. In the meantime, do we want to see Alvarez vs Gil? Aoki tapped Alvarez out too, lets not forget though i think Alvarez has matured his game and would do better at another shot at Aoki but Aoki tapping out KJ that easily shows he is a threat to any of the so-called strong wrestlers that can also bang (just like the other guys Aoki beat in JZ, Alvarez). One big thing to point out with Aoki vs KJ is KJ's lack of ability to control the range bet him and Aoki, something Gil demonstrated over 25 minutes and this hole in KJ's game was NOT due to the ring - it was a purely tactical hole on KJ's part, highlighting Gil's tactical superiority there.Aoki was also not able to latch on to Gil following up on any of his leg attacks really enough to launch any decent attacks. Aoki immediately was able to turn a leg shot into a leg lock against KJ.I do agree Gil did use the fence to his advantage (and we cant fault him for doing that since thats where the fight took place) but I do agree it somewhat changes the odds in Aoki's favour in a ring. But again, to chalk Gil's domination over Aoki to just the fence is silly. Gil orchestrated a perfect gameplan over 5 rounds. It was pretty impressive.

aoki has faced MANY solid wrestlers and kicked their asses in the ring.kawajiri is one of the most solid wrestlers and look what was aoki's 1st time fighting in the US, cut him some slack.

I dont know why people wanna see this. He got beat pretty badly in the first affair and it wasnt very exciteing, Aoki isnt gonna get better at takedowns in a ring. But i am pretty pumped about this matchup.
