Jim Miller vs. Kamal Shalorus at UFC 128 in NJ

by Damon Martin | source: mmaweekly.com

Jim Miller is ready to return to action and he will get the chance to fight in his home state of New Jersey when he does. He is set to face former WEC lightweight Kamal Shalorus at UFC 128 on March 19.

Miller has been asking the UFC for a Top 10 opponent time and time again for his next fight, but he won’t get his wish just yet.

A powerful wrestler with heavy hands, Shalorus went undefeated during his time with the WEC and will hope to duplicate that success in the UFC.

Dana White = We don't do mis matches. Jim Miller = 6 fight win streak in the UFC, 19 - 2 over all. Kamal Shalorus = Never fought in the UFC, his last 2 fights were a split that could have gone the other way, and a draw. 7 - 0 - 2 over all. Come on... Give Miller a top guy, he has beaten Oliveria, Bocek, Tibau, Danzig, Ludiwg, etc... fucking 8 - 1 in the UFC.

It's easy because his stand-up is light years better than Kamal's slow haymakers, and that means his only chance is to try and take Jim down and play with his lethal guard that not even Maynard wanted to lay in.

Varner got screwed. Totally agreed. But, this isn't an easy win for Miller. Should be a a good fight.

Miller's standup is nothing special and he's not taking Kamal down. Not sure how it's "easy".

He isn't a chump. But no one is at this level. There could not be much bigger of a mismatch. The post above mine is right.

He's a tough guy, but Varner should have won and Bart gave him problems.

LOL whatever. He's already fought guys with lots of experience. I'm not saying Miller isn't a great fighter, I'm just saying Shalarous isn't a chump. Miller might tap him from the guard, but he's not gonna knock him out, and I highly doubt he puts Kamal on his back.Varner is a better and heavier puncher than Miller and couldn't even knock the guy down.
