Maybe, just MAYBE he's telling it like it is and he doesn't know or want to commit to another fight.  If he doesn't know, he doesn't know.  He doesn't know about a 3rd fight and now he's Brett fucking Favre?!

I had a little Herschel Walker football when i was a kid. it's amazing to think that was 20 years ago.I was rooting for him big-time, it's hard not to like the guy.he's doing this for the right reasons.edit: Here We Go STEELERS!!

He should fight Lashley and then give it up.

He's said numerous times that fighting is not his priority. He loves training and being a part of the AKA team. Smart of him not to make any promises other than a continued committment to training and learning. The Favre metaphor really doesn't apply. Favre officially announced retirement from the sport with major press conference(s), only to came back to the sport. Herschel hasn't done anything like that. And Favre came back with the expectation of getting to and possibly winning the Super Bowl. There were also gigantic paychecks awaiting Favre upon his return as well.Herschel's journey in MMA appears more personal, without any expectation of titles or paydays. He seems to be in it only for love.

He's been training with some good guys and has done Karate his whole life. I'm sure he has been kicked plenty of times before.I think he just doesn't want to make a rush decision. He will probably get away from the limelight and get with his family and see what he really wants to do next.

Am I the only one who thinks it sounds like he really didn't like getting kicked, and that is why he's unsure if he wants to continue being a mixed martial artist?
