The fight had been headed towards a clinch-filled, five-round bout until Henderson was able to land the power shot that he's become known for.

Wow... Interesting statements.Be reasonable. These are fighters that have been tossed to the floor in gyms since their early teens, they don't fall over like your grandma. They don't let their faces paint the floor just because they trip and fall over. UNLESS they are hurt. Hendo was knocked down clean in the first round and even he held his head up, like they always do if they are still in control of their bodies. Sure, the faceplant may have added to the damage but Feijao wouldn't have fallen down like a rag doll if he hadn't just been hit in the face and sent to queer street. As for Hendo's gameplanning, he has gotten slightly better over the years, not worse, you are wrong on that one too. He refused to give up his back to Jake shields. He always relied on his right hand, uncomplicated boxing and toughness. He knows what is in his toolbox and how to get a win although he not always makes the wisest decisions. Jake Shields played with him, then he demolished Babalu, sometimes it is not your night. He always had stamina issues. He gassed out in pretty much every fight we saw him in that went a couple of rounds. As for being taken down, he has always been taken down by fighters that are lesser wrestlers, that is just the way he fights. He is a Greco-roman wrestler and has been double-legged by evereybody from Kazuo Misaki to Rousimar Palhares. He is not excactly a complete fighter. He keeps beating good competition though....As for holding on to the title, he may defend it. He has shown that his tools are sharp enough for him to fight effectively. He can take the punches of Mike Kyle. He can probably wrestle with Mousasi. Lawal may be tricky, but All Hendo has to do is put his hand on him. When Lawal gasses, he shrinks. Hendo just pushes through, that is how he did in all his fights. He overcommitted and gassed in the very first round against Rampage but still battled for 20 more minutes. Aaaand his age.... Clearly he can still do what he does. He is a wrestler who always relied on wrestling technique, toughness, and simple go-for-gold punching. Time waits for no one, but it is kindest to the fighters that fight in this way. That is why Randy Couture became champion at 43(?) and can still fight and do what he always did. There you go.

I loved the takedowns. Glad he wasn't only headhunting - mixing it up. Then BOOM! fucking love it!

Sitting 5 feet from the action right where Feijao went down, Dan definitely nailed him with the right.......Feijao was off balance from the inside kick, got clipped on the chin by Dan's right and turned, then crushed down by Dan's momentum I really can't express in words how hard Dan hits, he is the most god-awful strong person I've ever trained with

i would say the punch was absolutly nothing. for sure what knocked feijoa out was the faceplant. and i wont say it was a early stoppage but i think 3 or 4 more seconds and feijoa woulda been out of trouble.i have taken some mean faceplants and also witnessed some and that was brutal. even if the cage is padded a bit on the floor he still hurt himself baaaad.i dont think much stock can be put in hendo after that win. i would say it was a pretty even fight till that face plant. i also believe hendo is believing his own hype with the right hand. he puts himself in positions that are dangerous, just to land that big right hand and the old hendo would never do that.i will give him credit at the same time for taking more chances and becoming a more dangerous fighter because of it but we all saw the cocky first right he threw and then we all saw him get smashed with that feijao right. after that he started to fight like the old "hollywood" dan henderson.I think he got lucky last night....really really lucky. Hendo hasn't looked like himself since he left ufc. he is getting slower he tires quicker and he is almost 41 years old. i think going up and down in weight so often has affected his body for the worse.Because he is Hendo and Strikeforce has a shallow lhw division he got another title shot. But lets be honest here.....He cant hold on long.

fuck you are stupid.yeah he slipped up, the cause of the slip was hendos hand landing on his chin. it wasnt flush but it landed, and then 6 more landed. end of story.

Lol people said the same things when Henderson KO'd Renzo and Bustamante. Poor Dan he grazes guys and they face dive into the mat or his knee. He was obviously lucky when he had Feijao's back and secured position and ran down punches to finish him.HENDERSON you don't want him throwing H bombs at u even the phantom H bomb will get you with fallout. Lol Dan won the fight Feijao was on queer street after the fight. It was destruction
