Gustaffson finishes Hamill, Mendes wins on UFC 133 SpikeTV prelims


The new wave of light heavyweight took on a powerful veteran in the final fight of the UFC 133 undercard which were aired live on Spike TV.

Alexander Gustafsson was hoping to score the biggest victory of his career against a durable veteran in Matt Hamill and he not only won, but finished the tough wrestler.

After a very close first round that saw little action and both men cut each other, the Swedish fighter turned up the heat in the second round and began to really hurt "The Hammer" with his range and aggression.

I agree that he looked good. Not sure if he will be ready for a seasoned 20+ fights fighter yet. But what I do know is these younger guys who grew up watching UFC are officially here. I can't wait to see kids that are two years old now fighting in the UFC in 20 years with 15 years of wrestling, BJJ, kickboxing and weight training step into the fray. The bottom line is guys like Gustaffson/Jones/McDonald are a preview of things to come. Can't wait!

I think Matt is done, some guys just lose their edge and he definitely has not looked goodHe really doesnt have good cardio and he's slow as hell
