Stephens: I want to 'expose this chump'

“Come Oct 8, I’m going to beat the (expletive) out of Anthony Pettis,” Stephens said in his video blog. “Knock him off his pedestal, whatever the (expletive) he thinks he’s on. Just expose this chump.”

In preparation for his upcoming fight, Stephens has done a series of video blogs and this is the latest, which shows his preparation for Pettis and training to get ready for UFC 136.

I dont understand why Pettis is so overrated here. Who is the best striker he fought? Ben Henderson?I havent seen anyone truly beat up Stephens on the feet yet

Pettis by 29-28 decision imo. I think Pettis will threaten Stephens with a few shots, but Stephens will eat em for breakfast cos he's got a lot of heart. As he said after the Stout fight "he's a warrior man, a fuckin warrior bro!"

Slightly off topic but so often I see fighters doing wind sprints on ash-vault/pavement. (like in this video, in a parking lot at that.. foodstamp training @ best). I can't help but think that if anyone has a clue whatsoever about the potential long term wear and tear of this; they might rethink it.. just absolutely foolish. It would really help if these gyms did a bit of homework or just hired a cardio trainer with a clue. Related to the fight, I just can't see Pettis losing this one but always glad to see Jeremy ready for war.Edit: just finished reading the entire thread and noticed Jeremy himself on it, (respect, even though my moneys on pettis)with that in mind best of luck and I hope you both come out healthy yet, kick the shit out of each other.

People also forget that Pettis was winning the Henderson fight even before the kick. It's not like he made one crazy move and got a lucky shot in or something.
