Sonnen vs. Munoz, Davis vs. Evans confirmed for UFC on FOX 2

Chael Sonnen repeatedly denied he was to face Mark Munoz next, but it turns out he was just being coy.

Fighters Only received official confirmation today that bout agreements are signed for the two to meet at the UFC on FOX event taking place on January 28th.

The fight will form the co-main event of the evening, with Rashad Evans and Phil Davis in the headline main event slot.

Dana is smart here. I think he betting that Chael will beat Anderson, and the fight with Munoz will give the main stream media a chance to see the future champ. One problem! Silva is going to knock his ass out. Munoz beating Leben and Maia, and he is a contender? Serously? WTF! Barely beat Maia at that. My poor little children....

Hmmm. This will be a good Match up. Munoz lost to Yoshin, but beat Mai. Sonnen beat Yoshin, but lost to Mai.

Don't sleep on Munoz. Sonnen will not finish him, so Munoz has 15-25 minutes to land his heavy hands or wrap up some sort of choke.

Munoz is a good fighter but his chances against Chael are pretty slim. Chael's better at pretty much everything besides sub defense.n

A great matchup. I hope to see chael pull this out, I think Munoz would get finished easy against silva. Chael does everything just a little better than Munoz and has a relentless pace. He should get the win.

Watched the chael 60 mins video, well some of it. In the clip with Dave Fara he says he is a lean 217lbs.. That is a huge fucking middleweight. Sonnen beats Munoz with relentless pressure. I hope he wins just to see the rematch with Silva. Munoz is great and i am a big fan, but i don't want to see him monkey wrench the rematch of the century.
