Dana White: I don't know if we'll see Mayhem back in the UFC again

"I'm disagreeing with people. I didn't give Mayhem Miller the first round. He had a quarter of a mount and didn't do a thing and actuall, Bisping was landing punches from (in) the mount. I think Bisping landed more shots, did more damage. I go for damage and I think Bisping did more damage in the first round than Mayhem did.

"I don't know (if we will continue to see Mayhem back in the UFC). We'll see. He didn't have a good performance against Georges St. Pierre and he definitely didn't have a good performance against Michael Bisping."

I think you nailed it, I doubt that Dana is questioning Miller's return simply because he lost. I mean, if that was the case Kid Yamamoto would be gone and Shogun would've been dropped after the Henderson fight. No, the reason he's pissed with Miller is probably because they gave the guy a main event in his return fight AND it was a 5 rounder for which he had several months to prepare. The way Miller gassed in the 1st round might suggest to Dana that he didn't really take the fight, or the importance of a main event, seriously. Dana may feel that, based on his performances in Japan and Strikeforce, it was reasonable to expect more from Miller than he gave on Saturday night. I have no doubt that we will see Miller fight in the UFC again, most likely within the next 6 months, but Dana has to publicly take a tough line with him after that performance.

All those guys were paid, no idea what Miller got from coaching TUF, but Kimbo and Toney got good money. Thus whole thread is a moot point anyway Miller will fight in UFC again.

Dana don't be a fagit, Mayhem busted his ass coaching that show and went up against a top 5 fighter in the main event in his return fight and probably did better than a lot of people expected(in the first round at least, where yes- he won)! Give him another chance! Mayhem vs Nick Ring next, imo.

Mayhem always has been a great positional grappler. Best in MMA IMO. Look at Shields, Jacare, Sakuraba. If someone will roll with him, he is a genius. And his guard play is sick, when he used the rubber guard on a powerful GSP easily, it was incredible. He never had great stand-up, its more like street fighting. But the intangibles of heart, cardio and chin make him special and a fan favorite. If his take downs improve, or striking, he is a much better fighter. But Bisping has excellent TDD, and his best ability is active hands. A guy like Miller is fodder for Biping if Bisping will not roll with him for a few minutes. Bisping defended on the ground, and tried to escape. He had a great strategy for Miller. Mayhem is good. UFC Champion? No, but top grappler, gives the UFC some more depth, entertainment, and given build-up fights and small hurdles, he can be a legit contender at some point.

Quotes like this from Dana are proof that the UFC will never reach its full potential while he is the spokesman/decision maker. He absolutely oozes insecurity. What a tool.
