Bisping: Rogan made me so emotional at weigh ins

by Megan Olivi | source: heavy

(6:50 mark) As seen in the above video, at the TUF 14 Finale weigh ins, Mayhem Miller closed his Joe Rogan post weigh in interview by saying "Now boo this man" while pointing at Michael Bisping. The crowd enthusiastically obliged.

Rogan then moved to Bisping and shouted to the crowd "Can Mr. Bisping get some love?"

The Count grabbed the mic and  snarled "I don't give a f--- about getting f------ love. All I care about is smashng this d--- head. Tomorrow night, that's going to happen. F--- you all.

In a post fight interview with Heavy.com's excellent Megan Olivi, a victorious Bisping discussed the outburst.

Megan Olivi: Does it bother you a lot when they boo you when you come out to weigh ins?

Michael Bisping: (pause) …it''s nice to get a reaction either way. I was expecting it.

Of course everyone wants to be cheered, you know, and adored. but I'll take that over some of the other guys that walk out  and get a polite clap.

MO: What made you so emotional?

MB: Joe Rogan.

Joe Rogan annoyed me saying "Oh c'mon and get some love." Don't patronize me. I don't need their love. If they want to boo, let them boo.

Please don't stand here in front of me and beg everyone to cheer for me.

I don't want that. If you want to boo, that's your right, boo, go ahead, boo me all day long.

Joe patronizing him? What a joke!Joe Hogan has always stood up for fighters, especially in post-fight interviews when the fighters often get boo'd after bad decisions. He's just politely telling the uneducated fans (i.e. a few of you guys) to show some respect. I think Joe Hogan should call out Bisping for this, but in all likely hood, has too much respect for him as a man and will let it roll off his back. I wish we could say the same about Bisping...

Wow. Clearly Bisping doesn't understand English. LOL @ "Show him some love" being somehow patronizing... Is that the kind of English translation they teach in Manchester? derp.

If he didn't really care, he wouldn't even mention it. If asked in interviews, he'd simply say "That stuff doesn't bother me and it's not worth talking about. Next question." But he can't stop yapping about it so obviously it hurts his feelings. Anyone who lashes out at things that "don't bother" them are hilariously transparent.

lol it was a light hearted, off the cuff comment in a press conference, what a bunch of whiny little cunts.

Bisping just needs to start taking some responsibility for his own actions. Not everything is someone else's fault.

The more Bisping claims he doesn't care what people think, swears and lashes out at the fans, and specifically sites the UG by name as one of his detractors ... The more me thinks there's a sad little boy in there who's just wanting to be loved.
