Following his UFC 141 loss to Alistair Overeem, Brock Lesnar officially announced his retirement in the cage. Lesnar had been out of action for over a year with a back and forth battle with diverticulitus, and the ring rust showed as Overeem TKO'd him in less than one round. Lesnar, who originally was a WWE super-star crossed over to MMA in 2008, and after two bouts in the UFC won the UFC heavyweight championship from Randy Couture. Lesnar defended the title twice before losing to Cain Velasquez. Immediately following tonight's bout, Lesnar announced his retirement citing a promise made to his family. Time will tell if Lesnar is really retired or not. Related product from the UG Store
