Riddle, Ramos earn full payouts despite cancelled bout

UFC welterweights Matt Riddle (5-3 MMA, 5-3 UFC) and Luis Ramos (19-7 MMA, 0-1 UFC) lost the opportunity to compete at UFC 141, but they did not lose out on a paycheck

In fact, according to UFC officials, both fighters went home with not only their "show" money but also with their win bonuses, as well.

MMAjunkie.com today learned of the promotion's decision from sources within the organization.

Riddle vs. Ramos was scheduled to be the second fight of the Friday night's fight card at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena and was slated to stream on Facebook. However, Riddle was ill throughout the day of the fight and was ultimately unable to gain clearance to compete.

@bluddaddybear A blue name with almost 10000 comments and you post something like that? Obv you dont fight and have never done and wrestling or anything that requires weight cut. Both had rehydrated and had put on at least 10 to 20 pounds. 2 weeks to cont training and do another weightcut? Their training would be off!! Cmon man get your stuff toghether with all those post!

i don't see why they can't just move them on to the next card. it's only 2 weeks away, which is plenty of time to get them there and make accommodations. Then their training isn't off, they have time to heal, etc.

That means that Riddle was wanting to fight regardless of illness and was only stopped by the commission.Fan of Riddle, I'll be rooting for him come next opportunity.

the UFC gets some shit some time, but they do come through for their fights all the time.
