Brandon Vera: I want Silva's ass

First, Brandon Vera fought Thiago Silva at UFC 125 in Jan. of 2011. Silva beat the hell out of Vera (see below), and "The Truth" was let go.

Then Silva tested positive for PEDs. The bout was changed to No Contest, Silva was fined $33,750, and had his license revoked for a year. And Vera was brought back into the UFC.

Now Silva's suspension has ended and he can again apply for a license to fight.

Vera wants a rematch, via Facebook:

Good Morning FB!!! I just heard my dear friend Thiago Silva is back...... I want that ass. No H_m_.

I've just texted Mr. White and Mr. J Silva just gonna train heal and wait!

The "no homo" part was the dumb part. Really?In this world, 2012 you are going to fucking insinuate to be homosexual is bad and that you surely weren't being a homo when you said you wanted his ass?If a NFL player did this, it'd be news. But it shows you how low off the mainstream radar MMA REALLY is. I am not offended by Vera's remark but do find the concept of "no homo" dumb in theory anyhow. But you can't do this anymore. If Miguel can't joke about a rape van, then you can't have Vera making the remark of "no homo" which at its core came about as a way of saying "Yo I'm no faggot or nothing but I'm saying" So what if someone is?But I thank Vera for 2 things. 1. Letting me know he isn't gay. WHEW. 2. Letting me know he wasn't a real threat to ever contend for a title. Makes it easier.

Vera is gonna beat the shit out of him this time around He was outstriking silva with ease on the feet and proved his muay thai is far superior considering thiago didnt piss hot, he didnt even piss at all...there is no telling what he might have injected/taken right before the fight to give him a boost i have more sympathy for someone who fucked up their cycle vs someone who used fake piss so that they could enter the fight jacked up with the way these guys have to train, i dont blame them one bit for juicing during camp or whenever for recovery, but trying to come in the ring with your testosterone through the roof and possibly on pain killers or God knows what, is a whole other ball game.

Both fighters did land an early head strike that rocked him, but he immediately got the upperhand on both fights. I mean Antonio tapped to strikes that rattles the octagon floor. And well, what happened to Irvin was a shame, but he was out muscled. And it didn't look to good even if the fight continued from there.
