What you genius legal advocates insisting that he has a medical card in California so it' legal are missing is this:IT IS AGAINST FEDERAL LAWAll medical marijuana states are in a battle with the federal government daily over this. The federal government is arresting people and seizing assets daily in states that medical marijuana is legal in. So in conclusion his BS medical card in California allows him to break federal law in his own state, but it is still against the NSAC rules to piss hot! Bottom line is he knew the rules, he broke them on purpose and has to serve the sentence imposed on him by the NSAC.(I support the legalization of marijuana btw) but that has no relevance in this matter because he broke a federal law and a NSAC rule.

In CA, if you have a medical mj card, and have smoked, you have to disclose it to the CSAC long before the fight, and there is an approval process you have to go through where they look at the reason you use it, the amounts, when, etc., and they can approve you, but do not have to.

Was the test positive for THC or THCA? THCA is the metabolite and THC is the active component. Also, are they releasing the levels found for the THC?

CSAC tests for pot. If you are taking it under a dr's recommendation, you must disclose this way in advance of the fight, and there is a process under which they can approve its use. If you do not go through the approval process, and test positive, that is a failed test.
