Diego can be a manic fighter. How concerned are you about the pace he can bring to a fight?
I can't control what he does. I can only control what I do. I've put myself through the worst possible scenarios. I'm definitely prepared to match his pace. That's something he's definitely strong at and next week it's going to be time to show that.
I can match his pace. I think I have the advantage. I've definitely prepared for his style. He's got a hard style to fight, but it's definitely a good test for me and a hard challenge.
How would you describe his style?
Very aggressive and just tough. Just overall tough -- he's tough to finish; he's really hard to do anything to. He's been in there with some of the best. He's a tough cat, but for me to be even considered one of the best in the division and one of the best for a title shot, I've got to prove that I'm a better fighter and finish Diego.
You mentioned that you have the advantage. In what areas do you have an edge over Diego?
I might have a little bit of size advantage and a little advantage in the striking area.
Fights are going to be very unpredictable, and it's going to be very hard to know what he's going to do, but for me, I guess I really shouldn't say a distinct advantage anywhere, but I've prepared myself for every situation, like I said. It's prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
I don't have a lot of advantage in this fight. I would say a little more in the striking advantage, but that's about it.
