UFC president Dana White today announced via Twitter that Josh Koscheck  will meet Johny Hendricks at May's UFC on FOX 3 event in a key welterweight affair.

UFC on FOX 3 takes place May 5 at IZOD Center in East Rutherford, N.J. The main card, including a Jim Miller vs. Nate Diaz headliner, airs on FOX, and prelims are expected to air on FUEL TV.

White did not announce the fight's positioning on the card, but it seems likely to serve as the evening's co-main event.

i like both fighters.only leaning towards kos cus im from the No(Fresno). if kos actually used his wrestling more instead of thinking he is an elite striker now.his fights would go a lot better.finding out he could knock people out with that rt has been a gift and a curse.and i've always liked hendricks and knew he was elite.he just had a slip up against the horror story and everyone just dismissed him.but new he had the skill to hang with the tops in the division.

SinCityHustler -  Intersting matchup.  Johnny hasn't completely transitioned his MMA take downs from his collegiate days, still needs work on making them more seemless.  Kosckeck has that aspect down better but his finishes seem to have fallenoff a bit.  Got in on Hughes and didn't finish, got in on Pierce and didn't finish.  Same with GSP.  Granted those are very good wrestlers but Kos used to finish nearly all of his shots.  A focus on finishing his takedowns in training camp goes a long way to winning this fight.  Hendricks will want to sprawl and brawl.  Make no mistake, he has the advantage onthe feet.  Koscheck has become a stationary target essentially and he doesn't want to get Fitched out there.  Tough one to call.  Kos has the easier game plan to execute but will he or will he look to win the striking and sell himself short?  Leaning slightly toward Koscheck but I'm a huge fan of both guys and wont mind seeing either win.  If it's Hendricks, lets get the man a title shot.  did u watch the kos vs hughs fight?

I like Hendricks but I'm pretty sure Koscheck will beat him.

Kos takes this one , and he's said that he's only interested in money fights now , how bout after this fight win or lose he gets Dan hardy , the guys hate each other and they should be able to draw an audience setting up a nice little pay day
