"Pretty Boy" was back in the headlines recently for equally dubious reasons when he made the following comments about New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin, who is of Taiwanese decent:
"Jeremy Lin is a good player but all the hype is because he's Asian. Black players do what he does every night and don't get the same praise."
In a segment for FUEL TV's "UFC Tonight," which will air tonight (Feb. 21, 2012) at 10 p.m. ET, White addressed Mayweather and his racially charged sentiments
"First of all, what [he] said, I think, was racist. He's made a couple of racist comments. And yes, you're racist with the stuff you've said. ... you dummy. Don't worry about what all these other guys are doing, and shooting your big mouth off on Twitter. ... And I know I speak for millions and millions of other people. Shut up ..."
How is he right? Had ANY player come out of no where to burst on the scene like Lin did it would be all over the media especially in NYC. Maybe he wouldn't be selling merch all the way in China but don't fool yourself. Mayweather is always playing the race card and in this case he is dead fucking wrong. Had it been a black player to come out undrafted out of harvard get cut by two teams and days away from being cut by the Knicks when he gets a shot and comes out several monsterous stat games like that he would be the talk of the league as well.
http://www.bing.com/videos/watch/video/dana-white-rips-floyd-mayweather/125alm9u?from=I think if you watch this clip it lays it out a bit better. They take a lot of his comments when he was responding to what Floyd said about Pac. He does touch on his Lin comments as well but most of what they quote up there comes from the latter and not as much from the former
Dana has a filter, it's called getting his way. If he doesn't get his way he resorts to trash talking and hyperbole. He's been going on camera saying Fedor "Sucks" for a few years now.
SHUT UP DANA AND SIGN FEDOR. Split the money homie.... quit running yer flaps on twitter and sign the fighter real MMA fans have wanted to see in the UFC for the last 5 years.
He's a bit more than a boxer though, I'm sure he has businesses and money streaming from other sources, also doesn't he promote/manage himself and his ppvs?
