Tito: I am the Ali, the Hulk Hogan of MMA

source: mmamania.com

"There's a few people that don't give me the respect that I deserve, but there are a lot of fans that give me a lot of respect, you know? Of course the people that follow me on Twitter, and you just hear the way they talk about me. I'm a legend, I'm an icon of the sport. You know, boxing had Muhammad Ali, professional wrestling had Hulk Hogan and mixed martial arts has Tito Ortiz."

wow MMA fans are just pure utter shit. Let Tito talk all he wants but to say he isnt a legend is a fucking joke. Boxeing fans praise there legends and pioneers but MMA fans throw them under a bus and label them as nobodies. Tito is a bigger legend then anyone else to represent the UFC banner that including Chuck. Tito is one of the reasons UFC is where its at today. Go ask anyone who Tito is and they will know. Ask someone who JBj is and they wont know or almost any of the other champs of today or the past. Dont forget Titos PPV hit the 1 million mark long before TUF came aboard Dont forget hes still more know then almost anyone else in the UFC or that he was the greatest villian in UFC history. Wins over: Baders, Wanderlie, Ken x3, Vitor, Cote, Griffin, Even Rashad, Vladdy, Tanner, Kondo, and Mezger let him say what he wants about himself but the man is a legend regardless.

I once heard a coach say he left one guy to go to another where he could become a legend, yes he was serious. That doesn't happen. One does not determine if one's self is a legend or a hero. That's for those around him to decide."Grampa, were you a hero in the war?""No but I served with a company of them."Colonel Winters, Band of Brothers

For a guy who didn't really do much in MMA, he has the biggest ego this side of Sonnen.

Tito did truly was a huge reason the UFC(not MMA in general) survived. His legendary status is undermined.
