Curtis Blaydes and Charles Oliveira each won $50,000 performance bonuses at UFC 225, while Robert Whittaker won $100,000 thanks to Yoel Romero’s failed weight cut.
UFC 225 took place Saturday June 9th from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. The PPV event was headlined by two title fights and also featured the UFC return of former WWE champion Phil Brooks.
The main event of UFC 225 was supposed to feature a middleweight title rematch between champion Robert Whittaker and top contender Yoel Romero. Unfortunately Romero missed weight and the bout was contested in non-title matchup.
The co-main event of UFC 225 featured an interim welterweight title bout between top contenders Rafael Dos Anjos and Colby Covington.
