UFC on Fuel TV 3 captured an average of 173,000 viewers during the cable network’s six-fight broadcast on Tuesday night.

Sherdog.com confirmed the figure Wednesday with an industry source. The viewership number continues a downward trend for the promotion’s Fuel TV live shows, as the first two installments of the series attracted 217,000 and 197,000 viewers in February and April, respectively. The evening’s preliminary card was streamed live on Facebook.

It's Fuel... How do those ratings compare to other Fuel ratings? They're working to build that network up from nothing. It's a good investment for Fox (which is why they made it). It's a good investment for the UFC.People suggesting that the UFC is about to die, are just stupid.

Horrible promotion for this card on the part of Fox and UFC.I got excited about this card when a few posts on the UG reminded me it was on. The problem? The posts were on Wednesday and I saw absolutely nothing on any fox network leading up to the card which aired on Tuesday. This added to the fact that TW doesn't offer Fuel HD and the result is I miss fights that I normally would have made sure I watched or recorded.I'm just sick of Fuel. I actually miss Spike. It's unbelievable.

They're not in it for the ratings. That's why they air the fights on a channel no one gets.
