TUF Brazil finalist injured, able to compete for TUF title

by Daniel Sarafian | source: ufc.com

The Ultimate Fighter Brazil® middleweight favorite Daniel Sarafian, who earned a spot in the finals with an impressive flying-knee knockout, has been injured and cannot compete in this Saturday's UFC® 147: Silva vs. Franklin II.

Stepping in for Sarafian at the Finale will be jiu-jitsu expert Sergio "Serginho" Moraes, a Team Vitor prospect who was switched to Team Wanderlei mid-season and made it to the semifinals. Moraes will now face coach Vitor Belfort's protege Cezar "Mutante" Ferreira in a three-round bout to determine the first-ever middleweight winner of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil®.

The featherweight finals will feature Rony "Jason" Mariano Bezerra of Team Wanderlei fighting teammate GodoFredo Pepey, who also started out on Team Vitor.

Dude,You are totally right. I am ''lucky'' enough to only pay 6 buck or 7 bucks for the PPV through the UFC website (though the streaming still sometimes sucks) because i live in Europe. The funny thing is though that all the PPV and FX and Fuel cards are priced the same. Anyways i do not mind forking out the 7 bucks for a bad card but the i would not pay 50 bucks for either the Canadian card nor the Brazil card. The talent simply is not there. I personally think that, while the replacements are sometimes decent, they are not even close ,in terms of excitement and anticipation rendered, to the original slated fighters. On topic: It really sucks that Sarafian is out. He was my favorite fighter on the season by far and could have really taken Muntante into deep water and exposed the wholes in his striking and his spirit. Mutante will will easily now because he will simply ragdoll Serginho.Guess is Jason then all the way. BTW the wolferine Macapa fight should be pretty awesome as well. I personally taught that Macapa was the most underrated fighter on the show. Dude showed real promise in my eyes.

That stinks, Mutante will likely sprawl and brawl the much smaller Sergio Moraes. Serginho has spent most of his MMA career at 170 and Mutante looks like a large 185'er.

Seriously. The only one I've missed in like 10 years was shogun vs lyoto 1, and I was at a local show and I still bought it on ppv and dvr'd it and watched it when I got home. I really just don't think I can justify 60 bucks for this.
