Vitor Belfort has pin removed from hand in Brazil

source: twitter.com

Last month UFC President Dana White woke up to hear that the planned UFC 147 headliner between Vitor Belfort and Wanderlei Silva off. The fight was to have been the conclusion to the debut of TUF Brazil, where the two were opposing coaches.

"I wake up this morning, and Vitor Belfort breaks his hand, and he's in f----- surgery," White said. "It never ends for me. Every day we get up, and bad s--- happens. And guess what? I can guarantee you that when I wake up tomorrow, something else is going to happen."

It did not sound like a very good day for Belfort, either.

Pins were inserted into Belfort's hand to stabilize the recovery, and today the pins came out. With pliers.

Funny you say that. That is exactly what he warned me about before he pulled it out. He said that some people get sick or pass out. Something about that feeling of losing something makes people go down. I could feel it for sure but it never made me sick or faint.

very very good description. I didnt feel any pain either but it was the grossest thing to feel something that was a part of you for months getting pulled out like a cork leaving a hole. felt like a piece of bone kinda. it was definitely the same deal kirik

This.I also had 3 pins removed from my right hand when I was younger. I broke my pinky metacarpal from punching a wall (incorrectly) and didn't know it was broken for 3 weeks. Bone healed over, so doc had to rebreak it during surgery and used those same nails to keep it in place. 3 months later they remove the nails just like seen in the video, no pain killers required. The reason they do this is because minus the uncomforting feeling, there is no pain. It looks a lot more painful then it actually is.

Ya mine came out with pliers too. On the second one, he was sorta rotating the pliers back and forth to work it out and it make a squeaking sound, like when you pull a nail out of wood. Kinda made me feel sick lol
