Magalhaes calls for bout with Phil Davis

Phil Davis looked great in defeating Wagner Prado by decision this past weekend at UFC 153 and in doing so, caught the attention of another jiu-jitsu wizard, Vinny Magalhaes. Magalhaes, who recently returned to the UFC, didn't waste time in asking for a bout with Davis last night on Twitter:

They are about even standing. Both are athletic fast and have power. Good competitive matchup. Book em Joe.

Sorry to tell you but Vinny would give Phil all he could handle, and in my opinion Vinny would win. Neither fighter would have a distinct advantage on their feet, Vinny would have a very big advantage on the ground, and I am not sure that Phil has any significant advantage in wrestling over Vinny. I think Vinny, Glover, Davis, and Gustaffson are the fighters who are closest to being able to compete with Jones.
