Rear naked choke ends dangerous situation on a train

Shawn Daivari has worked with the wwe and is currently with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, but one of his most interesting takedowns took place on a train en route to the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

Over the years, Daivari developed a strangle-hold on appearing as a menacing, Middle Eastern bad guy, but surveillance footage shows he did not choke when faced with an opponent outside of the ring.

The video begins with Daivari sitting in the middle of a light rail car that, but he soon got a front-row seat to some sudden aggression.

Daivari told FOX 9 News the man with the backpack, Levin Blair, was already drunk and swearing at fellow passengers when he boarded the train, but an already-uncomfortable situation got a whole lot worse when a man got on at the Metrodome stop and asked Blair to move so he could put his bicycle in the rack.

Blair wasn't happy about that, and was even less thrilled with another passenger who asked him to sit down and be quiet.

"That's when he got in the passenger's face, saying, 'I am going to kill you,' and stuff like that," Daivari said.

That's when Daivari had decided enough was enough. He took off his sunglasses and jacket and put Blair in a sleeper hold called a "rear naked choke hold," bringing him to the floor. For the next minute or so, Daivari held Blair in a scissor hold that caused him to not only lose consciousness, but also lose control of his bladder.

At the next stop, Daivari and another passenger threw Blair off the train -- and Daivari made sure he stayed put on the platform with a few final kicks, tossing Blair his backpack while another passenger tossed out his coat and cap. The train then pulled away, leaving Blair behind on the platform, dazed and confused.

It took police nine minutes to get to the Cedar Riverside light rail platform to find Blair, who was uncooperative. Once they caught up with the passengers at the Mall of America, none said they were interested in pressing charges.

No you don't have to actually swing your fist for it to be assault.Assault is defined legally as "the intentional creation of a reasonable apprehension of harm"To oversimplify: if one person creates a fear of harm in another person, that is assault- as long as the action was intentional and the threat can be reasonably observed as such. For example: imagine if someone had a ninja star in their hand and was standing five feet away. If he threatens you with it and then cocks his arm back to throw it, THAT is the point when it becomes assault. He doesn't have to actually throw it and miss, you know what I mean? If you tackled him before he was able to launch it at you, he still committed assault because he "intentionally created the reasonable apprehension of harm."Pointing your finger at someone and yelling is not assault. Shouting at them that you are going to kill them, and then proceeding to take off your backpack and get in their face with your hands up threatening them IS assault. If he had landed a strike, then it would have been assault and battery. No offense but I think you may have wasted some money on that Criminal Justice degree. At least you have the other one right? ;) just teasin

I know someone here in Pennsylvania who was prosecuted with terroristic threats because he said he would kill his daughter(who was an alcoholic and wouldn't take care of her kids) on a recorded phone call. That shit is no joke.
