"I'm a different fighter every time I come out. I have a lot of weapons in my arsenal. My strength, my conditioning, my athleticism has come up a considerable amount and just mentally, I'm in a good place. We're at an equal disadvantage. We're both missing Greg (Jackson) who is a big component of our training and our preparation and our strategizing.
"Fighting in front of Georges' hometown might throw a lot of other guys off but mentally, I'm pretty strong. I'll be able to put all that stuff aside and just do what I came to do. I'm on the precipice of achieveing my life goal. I want to fight the best Georges and beat that guy."
Good point, and it's why I said pre-knee surgery GSP would be more of an overwhelming favorite. I wanted to go back and watch the Conditions-MacDonald fight because I couldn't remember how Carlos' TDD was.Does anyone remember a fight where Carlos had to deal with a lot of takedown attempts from his opponent? I would imagine the Shields fight, but I haven't seen that fight and am not overly eager to look it up. Yes, GSP is more than a slight favorite considering his wrestling abilities. I certainly wouldn't put money on Condit, but the fight is interesting.
Dude, c'mon, you didn't get that?I was poking fun at how Condit said it was going to be a dogfight before doing the exact opposite with his running man performance against Diaz.
