White: JDS begged me for Overeem fight

In a story yesterday, Junior Dos Santos expressed his opinion that he felt Overeem was not deserving of a title shot, that it would be 'out of order'. Also stating that he felt that the UFC was prioritizing fights that sell well rather than choosing those most deserving of a title fight.

Per the usual, UFC President Dana White was open in speaking on the situation, contradicting the thoughts of the current heavyweight champion. White posted this response on the Underground Forum today:

just an fyi JDS begged me for the Reem fight said he respects Cain very much and thinks he deserves the shot but would like to KO Reem first cause he hates him. word for word what he said.

I am a huge overeem fan but JDS eats him up with striking.I see this fight ending with an uppercut that would make bus drivers proud.

Not at all.I just fully beieve - Like there's no doubt at all in my mind - That Cigano is gonna KO Cain the secound time around - just like he did first time.Well, is that crazy thinking? Yep of course not. But here's facts:Cigano is far and away #1Cain is no doubt AT ALL #2 but his style will always be bad against Cigano.Roidreem and anyone else? u sir are n idiot some people do not understand the difference between being outstruck and letting ur opponenet land strikes because u have no respect for the striking or power and in overeems case in that fight is very worried about the takedown....lol at carwin and cain being top hw strikers cains not bad but there both just wrestlers with power not much technique especially carwin.....but u knowing nothing about striking prolly explains your retarded post
