Silva will fight Jones...for $1.25 billion

If White is looking for an idea as to how much money it will take to put Silva inside the Octagon with Jones, Tatame has the answer and it is, shall we say, a significant amount, “That question (about facing Jones) has to be made to Dana White,” Silva said. “Let's ask if he will give me 50% of the UFC.”

Silva then detailed why he would request such an exorbitant amount, “I have my projects out of the UFC and I want to put them into practice. To open my school (martial arts) in Los Angeles. I do my thing, take a breath a little, take time with my family. I have better things to do (than just taking punch in the face).”

As for how much the UFC is worth? If you take White’s word, the promotion has a current worth of $2.5 billion.

Styles + paydays make fights. If Weidman was a draw like Jones/Rashad/GSP/Sonnen they would fight him in a heartbeat, just like every grappler that was supposed to be the one to beat him. He is just not worth the money right now at all. After his heroism and valor during Sandy, and the Boetsch fight coming up his stock will rise though.

He's obviously joking.Thing is, Anderson will fight anyone but Weidman. Anyone, even Bones. Weidman is by far the biggest risk/reward for him, and he knows it.Styles make fights.

No. What he is saying is that he has been a company man and a lap dog and doesn't wish to go out of the company like Liddell, Lesnar, Hughes etc without getting anything after giving his life to the UFC.He says he wants to open his own gyms in the US. What idiot wouldn't wan to train at a Silva sanctioned gym? That would have the same prestige as a Gracie gym.Silva is thinking about his future, and rightly so.
