I dunno man. In the gif you can see as he throws it he loses focus and starts turning toward something. Either way, the guy holding the pad got it laid on him. ouch!

Werdum is awesome. He's funny as shit, too, which unfortunately doesn't always come off in his interviews because he can't always express himself in English the way he can in Portuguese or Spanish.

Yeah in the video at min mark 1:27 you can see him working that, guy holding the pad messed up.

the guy holding the target messed up and wasn't paying attention. That was the second set through of the same move. It's two low kicks then 1 high kick. The guy forgot to raise the target for the high kick.
