Daley: Davis declined to fight me

source: mmamania.com

Embattled British brawler Paul Daley is out of the upcoming Bellator show after getting tangled up in a web of visa issues; however, he's not going to sit on the sidelines and miss the opportunity to hurt someone.

"Semtex" is already in line to compete at Cage Contender 16 on Feb. 23, 2013 at the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght, Dublin, Ireland. Unfortunately, it won't be against his first choice, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) veteran Marcus Davis.

Daley explains via his official Facebook page:

"Since Marcus Davis has declined to fight me, Who would you guys like to see me fight? The promoters are securing an opponent...but as a lot of people seem scared to fight me, its always good to have some back up ideas."

This is hilarious seeing this thread and the "Rebney: It remains to be seen if Daley can fight." thread in regards to his arrest in the UK.I foresee him becoming the baddest man in the UK that cant fight outside of the UK. It wont be long before he starts spouting off about being #1 and that no one will fight him. Well I suppose half of that is already starting w/ Davis.

Marcus isn't retired. He just fought David Beilkedden (sic) in October. And with all due respect Mr. Daley, if Marcus DID turn down the fight, it was for good reason and not because he's ducking you or anything like that. He's not made that way. Tomorrow, when we cohost our radio show, I'll get exact response.

Every time this kid gets a little momentum, his mouth, actions, and attitude set up a road block for him. Talented kid, but I'm not paying to watch him until he gets his act together and matures a bit. Hopefully that will be before his youth and skills diminish.

This reminds me of the time Chuck called out Tommy Morrison.

Maybe they're scared they will beat you and you will wake up 2 hours later and shoot up their house? Don't blame others because you have no respect in the game anymore !

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mufYH8WLWPcFilho spoke about making a move to welterweight before his fight with Mamed Khalidov was meant to happen. He also said after he KO'd ninja that he didn't have further fights lined up but was certainly open to taking more if offers were put in front of him.Certainly hypothetical, but, this would be the most awesome fight ever.+ two opponents in common as he fought Misaki also.

This is a bit hypothetical, but it would be the most awesome fight of the century if you could fight Paulo Filho at a catch weight of 178 or something? (he just rematched Ninja Rua @ 185 - and won by KO 1st round)Now THAT would be an awesome fight.
