If Michael Bisping beats Vitor Belfort this weekend atUFC on FX 7 in Sao Paolo, he gets a title shot at Middleweight champion Anderson Silva. If Belfort wins, he does not expect to get one.
In a recent interview with Brazil's O Dia newspaper, Belfort, who lost to UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones in September and lost to Silva nearly two years ago, said he does not expect a title shot with a win over Bisping, and he doesn't see the merit in that.
"There's not much I can say about what qualifies you for a shot at the title in the UFC," said Belfort. "It hasn't been happening much by merit, but by politics.
"I can't answer you that. The one who can is Dana White. I just do my job, which is to fight and win. My right is to train and represent my country."
