Nate Diaz vs. Strikeforce transplant Josh Thomson booked

The UFC on FOX 7 card continues to fill out as lightweights Nate Diaz and Josh Thomson are set face one another at the event. The news was first reported by CSN Bay Area.

The two will face off on the April 20 card at the HP Pavilion in San Jose. It's the same location as the show seven years ago, in a bout confirmed Tuesday by UFC President Dana White. For Thomson, it's his first UFC fight in almost nine years, since losing via head kick to Yves Edwards.

Seven years ago, when Strikeforce had its much-celebrated debut, Josh Thomson was in one of the big fights on the show challenging Clay Guida to become the company's first lightweight champion.

The smartetst move for Josh is to immediately start trash talking and disrespect the 209, go on and on about how he's going to crush Nate. That's the way to get a bonus and ensure a great fight.

LOL, are you serious? Nate is a waaaay better grappler, if Josh Thomson does that hes getting subbed instantly. This is one of the biggest mismatches in UFC history and could result in the first death in the UFC

handy, surely you dont think diaz is as strong as kj? out muscling from the bottom is the only thing that would stand a chance against joshs wrestling if the subs arent working. believe me this wont be on the feet long.

no because josh is good enough to avoid nates sub attemps and outwrestle him at the same time.
