You're all missing the point here: Paul Daley is the shit. The end.

I am not Dana White.  Dana probably would have given him a pass if he groveled and begged.  I personally would still think he doesn't deserve to be there and root for him to lose every time (which I still do even outside of UFC). And considering how his career has been going since he got cut... it was no big loss for UFC at all.

So I take that long winded non-answer to mean that yes, you are from the UK. As for Joe Silva putting together bad matchups, you've yet to illustrate how you would have done better.  Let's start with the HW title picture, since you think Cain/Silva and JDS/Overeem are such horrible matchmaking.

Glossing over the details here son.Much like Joe Silva when he throws together bad match ups.Where I'm from? You know, I consider myself like, the gypsy type, except without the compulsion to steal anything that's not nailed to the floor.Don't really consider myself to be of any one particular nationality.

And I can guarantee, if Dana had given Daley a pass and sang a different song as regards his suitability to stay within the promotion, ya'll would be singing a different song too.

How was it provoked?lol. Are you trolling me son?Kos openly conceded that himself at the post fight presser. The whole point of that fight from Kos's point of view was to embarrass and irritate Daley.Talks about how he'll stand and bang, then hits take down after take down and pins Daley without even being aggressive.I mean, I'm not psychoanalyst, but, wasn't it obvious Kos was more than a little rattled at some of Daley's remarks leading up to the fight?(Again, confirmed in pre and post fight interviews)From Kos's point of view, that was personal, that was calculated. And kudo's to him, he did what he aimed to do.BUT, then there was this huge fuckin' outburst and motherfuckers are going ape saying Daley should receive a criminal record for assault cause it was after the bell etc etc.Daley let himself down in that, if he was a little more devious himself he could have played the innocent with Dana after and he'd probably still be in the UFC.

He threw a sucker punch.  It wasn't one of those "heat of the moment" type things where the bell rings but one of the fighters tries to keep fighting... it was totally deliberate, after the fight was already over for a few minutes and the decision was announced. It doesn't matter if it was half-assed, anticipated,  blocked, or 'provoked'.  He had 15 minutes to legally beat the everloving fuck out of his opponent, yet felt the need to throw a sucker punch after the fight was long over, because Kos called him a name or something?  Inexcusable.   Let me ask you something. If the fight happened in Japan, would you still have the same opinion? Of course, why would it make a difference where the fight happened?  I don't remember where the event actually took place or even which event it was without looking it up... and it's completely irrelevant.   Let me ask YOU something:  Are you from the UK?

how was it provoked?  he had 3 rounds to punch kos in the face and failed to do so.  so he waits until after the fight is over and Kos isn't looking?  Kos anticipating and blocking the punch doesn't make it ok.

Why, cause he threw a half assed punch that was1) Entirely Provoked2) Anticipated3) and blocked; didn't even land.Let me ask you something. If the fight happened in Japan, would you still have the same opinion?Far far far worse things have happened with not a fraction of the repercussions or the "outcry".Mofo's really getting butt hurt about that?Really, it's laughable. The reason Daley got cut from the business and logic point of view of DFW, is cause he slighted his enormous and tender ego, and that's a BIG NO-NO with that guy.

I'm not sure what your case even was to begin with, and I don't think you know either. Not sure what you mean by mass media opinion and perspective... it's my own opinion that Daley should have been banned from UFC for what he did.  I formed this opinion the very moment I saw the match on PPV, and don't plan on changing it.  It should not matter how apologetic he was after the fact (though apparently it matters to DFW).  Either was he was rightfully shown the door.
