Is Urijah Faber next to be cut? Yes, if he loses, says UFC President

Today, following the UFC 157 pre-fight press conference, White revealed that the UFC does in fact plan on releasing 100 fighters before the end of the year. White also mentioned that Fitch's surprising dismissal was mostly salary related.

With the UFC's goal to eliminate 100 fighters from its roster, no one is safe, including former WEC featherweight champion Urijah Faber, who White admitted could be cut from the organization with a loss at UFC 157.

All of this is easy; Vote with your wallets.Stop paying for this garbage. Don't support something you disagree with and force them to change. The sad thing is this; Dana knows that there are a lot of people that have no clue as to what the word "value" mean.Screw that. Streams FTW. Yet again.

Once healthcare hit... It was good for the fighters, but I figured they'd carry less of them. Good luck to the guys who are cut. Hopefully they can fight their way back.

Right on the money. I do not think Faber will be cut, but seriously, what is everyone waiting for Dana White to say? The UFC put high expectations on Urijah Faber being one of their golden boys, and Faber knows this. He should know the writing is always on the wall knowing that you always win a fight to determine title contention, and then go on to lose every title fight after. Again, if Faber wins, I would not be surprised if Faber is named as the next title contender against whomever in whatever weight class.

I don't agree with Dana. I do see his point though. In all sports the aging veteran with declining skills is always at risk to get released. It's not liked they're releasing future contenders like Chris Weidman or Rory McDonald after a couple losses.
