TUF 17: Episode 6 fight recap

TEAM SONNEN'S Tor Troeng (15-4-1) VS. TEAM JONES' Josh Samman (9-2)

Round 1 - Referee Herb Dean oversees the fight. Josh slips on an early low kick, but Tor can't get to him. Josh pushes forward again with a flurry of punches and moves into the clinch, but Tor circles off the cage and presses in from the outside. The pair works in the clinch for position, trading place on the cage and working in knees and punches when available. Tor eventually scores a trip and brings the action to the canvas. He postures and punches before ultimately falling back into his opponent's guard. Josh does a good job of scrambling underneath and ultimately is able to crawl back to his feet. From there, he seizes momentum by nearly taking the back and landing a few punches to the jaw. Tor finally separates and slips a little as he pulls away. He resets, but Josh pushes forward and scores a crisp three-punch combination that sends Tor crashing to the floor. Josh follows briefly before Herb can get in to wave off the crushing finish.

Josh Samman def. Tor Troeng via TKO (punches) - Round 1.

I just finished the episode and it's funny, I'm pretty much the exact opposite.   Meaning, I hear what you (and other's are saying about Josh).  Obviously we're not in the house, so we don't know.  But it seems to me that he's doing his own thing, offering advice (without being too intrusive), and really helping out some of the more inexperienced guys.  I give him credit for assuming a leadership role.   That being said, Uriah is a complete _____(I decided against anything due to fighter bashing).  Adam pointed it out beautifully, he bitches about being bullied his whole life then proceeds to both verbally and physically bully others....like constantly.......seriously?!  He's offended at every turn to the point where you can't even have a conversation without him wanting to fight someone.  I also have trouble getting over HOW cocky he is.  He lost to the only two people anyone knows and is a "monster on TUF" and his ego couldn't fit inside Cowboys Stadium.   I cannot wait (and pray) that Uriah and Josh fight each other.  I would love to see Josh double donkey kong ko Uriah into the oblivion.

Also Hall came off looking quite a bit socially awkward this episode.

They seemed to spend a bit of time on the Bubba-Casey call out. Leads me think they're the Wild Cards.

2Fort , 4 2 hours agoNo disrespect to Josh, and I don't know if it's the editing or what, but I literally cannot stand the guy. He comes off as way too controlling and obnoxious, stop trying to always have something to say and stop trying to tell dudes how to eat when you literally just met them like 2 seconds ago. For fuck's sake. I really want to see Uriah fight him, man....T H I S ! ! ! !
