Hendricks gets decision in war with Condit

Johny Hendricks went into his UFC 158 fight with Carlos Condit saying he didn't need a knockout to earn a title match. He's about to find out if he's right.

The "Bigg Rigg" tried like hell to create another highlight-reel knockout, but Condit wasn't about to join his hit list. Instead, he made it a scrap to remember, fighting Hendricks tooth and nail to the final bell.

It was a close fight, but in the end, it was probably Hendricks' takedown prowess that gave him the edge in the eyes of the judges, who scored the bout in his favor 29-28, 29-28, 29-28.

Hendro closes distance very well, he was giving up alot of height and reach against condit and tagged condit multiple times. I thought he won 29-28

I was really impressed how Hendricks mixed up his strikes with takedowns. Not just only setting the double up with a jab but going wild with hooks to knock your head off.

Hendrix won the first two rounds easy. Carlos won the last one. Not sure how Condit stayed awake taking some of those shots. The mans face doesn't show damage an he got hit so hard so many times... That is one tough son of a bitch and he is ALWAYS dangerous. Big fan of both, but Hendrix def won the fist two sorry.

Bullshit victory by Hendricks, ...Carlos did the more damage...all Hendricks did was held him down, couldn"t do shit to Condit the way GSP was able to.....Carlos had more effective hits...whoever said Hendrick won the stand up in the first 2 rounds is a moron.....

This.Condit was outlasting his pressure and shots at an increasing rate... probably would have won a 5 round fight, but Hendricks got it done tonight. He knew what was on the line and went after it. I think he will be a very tough fight for GSP.

I absolutely love Condits ground game, he's stupidly aggressive off his back and the way he moves on the ground is incredible, will always love watching him fight.
