Couture, Jackson, Shamrock, Warren preview Fight Master series

Randy Couture, Frank Shamrock, Joe Warren and Greg Jackson discuss the tournament format that "Fight Master: Bellator MMA" will use.

On "Fight Master: Bellator MMA" each coach will helm one of four separate fight camps for 32 up-and-coming fighters looking to fight their way into the Bellator tournament and a $100,000 cash prize.

The 32 fighters, competing for a spot in the welterweight tournament in the Fall of 2013, live and train together in four camps led by the aforementioned coaches. The fighters control their own destiny. They choose which camp to train with and which opponent they want to fight next.

The series will delve into the fighters' personal stories for a glimpse into the often arduous journey that led them to "Fight Master." Viewers will get to know the man behind the fighter, and follow them on their quest for victory.

They couldn't get a more established name than Joe Warren? Is Miletich tied up?

I would actually prefer that they were all fighters from overseas. We'd at least have a chance at seeing some new talent. UFC basically gets the majority of the good north american talent for TUF, and even now they have TUF Brazil going on which is doing WW's. So they won't have much luck there.

Good point. I never really considered the Russian angle. Bellator does seem to get a decent amount of good prospects from there.

I would have to guess that it's mostly fighters who didn't make it on TUF the past few years. Unless of course they're all Russian.
