Report: Latifi cut 26 lbs. for Fuel TV 9

The potential upside of a last minute replacement win in the UFC is huge. For Ilir Latifi to replace Gustafson on 5 days notice and upset Gegard Mousasi would be great for his career. But a last minute bout also comes with some hurdles, including not always being the best shape or prepared. And possibly you also may need to cut more weight than normal as is the case with Latifi:

According to a report from our friends over at

Ilir weighed 105 kg on Wednesday, and earlier today he weighed in at 93.4 kg. In three days he was stripped away approximately 12 kg.

One kilogram = 2.20462 pounds.

It's a 3 rounder.

I'd cut that much for that shot too, no namer into a UFC headliner and will get at least one more fight after,

Will this still be a 5 rounder with the late replacement? I'm guessing not

Fucking badass, guy steps up to face one of the best fighters in the world in a few days notice and shits himself to make weight, deserves more respect IMO.

He won't be able to lay on Mousasi for long.

Didn't Ian cut 25 plus in like 2 days for the second fight with DJ? And he's half latifa's size.

It's pretty goo, but not overly impressed. I had an amatuer at my gym cut 24 lbs. to make 185 in less than 24 hours, which definitely isn't the norm.
