Nate Diaz now under new management

UFC lightweight title challenger Nate Diaz has ended a significant part of his mixed martial arts  relationship with famed trainer Cesar Gracie.

According to a recent report from Ariel Helwani, the Stockton, Calif., native has enlisted the management services of Mike Kogan, who heads Real Talk Entertainment, representing notable names such as UFC heavyweight Roy Nelson and former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Muhammed Lawal, among others.

Diaz will still train under Gracie alongside the likes of his brother Nick Diaz, former Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez, former UFC welterweight title challenger Jake Shields and the rest of the tight crew.

Pretty much sums up my feelings about the situation. Cesar's the worst fucking manager ever.

Mike Kogan? Uhh this is going to be a train wreck. I'd expect Nick Diaz mouth to get him in much more trouble now.

Yep...I actually felt bad for Nick when hearing that interview.  He said when people asked who he was training with he basically had to lie because there were no wrestlers in camp as Jake and Gilbert were busy.  He also mentioed that since he made so much money from the GSP fight, now he can afford to pay wrestlers to come into camp with him.   Why Cesar doesn't think that's his responsibility is beyond me.  There are tons of wrestlers that would likely come and train with him for free as they'd get world class training in return.  Cesar is a tool and Nick and Nate are his last cash cows and if Nick is retired and Nate is transitioning away from him, he's pretty much done in MMA.

Exactly, absolutely shameful. If I'm Cesar I'd be calling fucking Ben Askren, Fitch, any D1 wrestler to help Nick with his tdd. All they can say is no. Biggest fight of his career, biggest purse, biggest cut you'll ever get, and if he wins....both your lives are changing big time
