UFC on FOX 7 'of the Night' Performance Bonuses
HP Pavilion
San Jose, Calif.

Submission of the Night
No 'SOTY' was awarded Saturday, as there were no submissions. There were however eight KOs on the twelve-fight card, and two 'KOTYs' were awarded.

Knockout(s) of the Night

Yoel Romero beat Clifford Starks by Knockout at 1:32 of Round 1

Josh Thomson beat Nate Diaz by RSC at 3:44 of Round 2.

Fight of the Night

Matt Brown beat Jordan Mein by RSC at 1:00 of Round 2.

The figures above do not represent an accurate assessment of each fighter's income.

Fighters bear significant costs including training expenses, a percentage to management, a percentage to the trainer, insurance, licenses, and taxes.

On the income side, sponsorship money can be substantial, although they have dropped markedly over the past couple of years. Further, the UFC often gives out undisclosed "locker room" bonuses for exceptional performance. In addition there are the publicly announced 'of the Night' bonuses noted immediately above.

Lastly, many fighters earn income from teaching, from appearances, and in many cases from regular employment in the non fighting space.

Watch the 'of the Night' fight highlight videos below!

MMAjunkie 3 hours ago in response to Chris27 (report this)It's not a typo/mistake. That's the official disclosed payday.Sounds like they restructured his deal, and there may have been some money upfront that isn't reflected here.
