UFC President Dana White once told the press that Ronda Rousey had garnered more media attention than any other fighter before he, including Brock Lesnar, Anderson Silva, or Georges St-Pierre. Rousey in fact was the reason that White relented on a women's division in the UFC. Rousey had previously been featured on the cover of ESPN's 'Body' issue, appearing naked but covered on the cover and in the issue.
She's was the second women's athlete to make a cover (Gina Carano has as well), but she was the first women to make the cover for a second time. Rousey was one of four athletes featured on the cover(s) of this month's 15th year anniversary issue of ESPN the Magazine:
