Johnson, Guillard, Smith, & Herman earn $50k 'of-the-night' bonuses

 

At the post fight press conference for UFC on FOX 8, UFC President Dana White announced the bonuses for the 'of-the-night' awards:

Fight of the Night: Trevor Smith vs.Ed Herman

Submission of the Night: Demetrious Johnson

Knockout of the Night: Melvin Guillard

Each athlete received an additional $50,000 on top of their base salaries for their performance award.

Well while we're complaining about EVERYTHING, Masvidal should have gotten SUB of the night. He was rocked hard and came back with a very slick sub. Plus he sub'd the sub guy. DJ's armbar was nice but Masvidal was better IMO. Also shocked Lawler didn't get KO but I suppose Melvin's was pretty good. Herman fight definitely deserved FOTN. Those guys looked like they were fighting for their job.

Huge Lawler fan here, but Danzig out cold and crying is a bigger KO than Voelker who stood up immediately.Lawler gets the 'move of the night' for the kick, but the KO wasn't really a KO, but a Ref Stoppage
