UFC president Dana White just confirmed to Fox Sports Live that UFC featherweight Conor McGregor's MRI came back and is not the strain that all were hoping for. The knee in fact is now diagnosed as having suffered multiple injuries:
•Posterior horn meniscal tear
The injury occured during the fight with Max Holloway atSaturday's UFC debut on FOX Sports 1.
"I injured my knee halfway through the second," said McGreggor. "I just can’t get it out of my head, but looking back I should have just pulled my knee from my leg and hit him with it."
“I heard a big pop and I let out a scream mid-round, but I passed into side control with it. When we stood back up I was unsteady on it."
The decision was the first in McGregor's professional career, and was attributed in part to a knee injury.
It is believed McGregor will be out for approximately ten months.
