Nate Diaz vs. Gray Maynard III at TUF 18 Finale on Nov 30

Breaking - the November 30 #TUF18 finale will feature the rubber match between @NateDiaz209 and @GrayMaynard

The first fight of the TUF 18 Finale (besides the men's and women's bantamweight finals) have been announced. Nate Diaz and Gray Maynard will fight at the TUF 18 Finale on November 30th in Las Vegas.

The pair were both members of the TUF season 5, with Diaz beating Maynard by submission in the semi finals. The Stockton native went on to win the entire show. Diaz lost a rematch with Maynard in 2011 via split decision.

Diaz contested for the title late in 2012, losing to Benson Henderson via unanimous decision. Maynard fought for the title twice, losing both times to Frankie Edgar.

Diaz is coming off losses to Henderson, and Josh Thomson. Maynard is coming off a single loss, to TJ Grant at UFC 160 in May.

ANNNNNND, as will all things Diaz, there is a twist...

Nathan Diaz @NateDiaz209

So you are assuming Nate lost his desire after losing to Benson? That's nothing a training montage can't fix!

Do not want. Why is Gray not fighting Bendo?! I've wanted to see that one for years and it makes perfect sense right now.

i meant a lopsided decision when i said similar to the benson fight.

big_roy_fan - gray wins this easily, 30-26 similar to the bendo fight, diaz just doesn't have it anymore.

Maynard doesn't have the skillset of Benson, nor does he have the skillset to pull off what Josh Thomson did. Maynard has solid hands, but he'd be boxing with the guy who has the best hands in the division in that case.

also, lol at "doesn't have it anymore", the guy is 28 years old and only looked bad against the former champion of the division. People are starting to figure out the flaws in the Diaz stance and are slowly taking advantage of it, Maynard doesn't have the movement or the kicks to take advantage of said stance, so please, tell me exactly how Maynard can pull off what Benson did.

never said he was done, just said he 'doesnt have it any more' as in the desire, after losing the title fight to benson he probably doesn't have the same drive as he did before. And yes, he beat ceronne and miller, but are they wrestlers?

Lol, nates had a couple of tough fights, so now he's done...Look at the way he demolished cerrone and miller. Dude is far from done. There are obviously big problems in the scrap pack, I think these guys all opened their own gyms, so between trying to run a business and live a life that they never thought they'd have, life sometimes gets in the way of the fighter.I think he's got a new manager, I'm holing someone from outside their circle can show him how to balance things.
