Melvin Guillard changes managers, joins ATT

Melvin Guillard, 30, who fights Ross Pearson at UFC Fight Night: Bisping vs Munoz in Manchester, England on October 26, 2013, has found a new team. Guillard has been on an exploration the past couple of years, training first with Jackson-Winkeljohn's MMA, then The Blackzilians, then a thwarted attempt to return to Jackson's, then to Grudge, and now he has landed at ATT.

Guillard also recently acquired a new manager, Malki Kawa of First Round Management. Guillard had previously been represented by Authentic Sports Management.

Guillard found success at Grudge, winning a $50,000 Fight of the Night performance bonus vs Mac Danzig. "The Young Assassin" had previously been on a 1-4 streak, and likely faced release from his contract should he have lost.

Let's hope the current line up of management and trainers proves to be the right fit, because Guillard is a remarkable talent, who has never quite been able to bring it all together.

ATT is a perfect for for Melvin. Sub defense is the weakest part of his game. Rarely do you see ATT guys submitted.

Fan of both Ross and Melvin. Will always root for Melvin being from our home town of NOLA.

Good move for Melvin. I always said if he just tightens up his sub defense, he'd be top 5 and possibly champ. He's easily the best athlete at 155 and has sick stand up. He just needs to show more patience like he did in the Danzig fight and work on defending submissions. Wish him the best. If Ross is silly enough to stand with him he's gonna get knocked out.
