Ortiz injured, out of Bellator bout vs. Rampage

In what is likely a major blow into Bellator's forray into PPV, Tito Ortiz has been injured and will be unable to fight against Quinton Jackson in a bout scheduled for November 2nd.

Tito Ortiz suffered a neck injury in training which will keep him out of next weekend's fight against Quinton Jackson, according to sources with knowledge of the situation.

Bellator is currently seeking a replacement for Ortiz, and it is unclear at this time whether Jackson will remain on the Nov. 2 card. There is a chance next weekend's pay-per-view card turns into a free Spike TV card with Jackson being moved to another event.

ACL a non-issue if Tito is claiming neck issues, right?

I'll be honest. I hope Bellator fails. I hope they fail because their restrictive contracts prevent us fans from being able to see the best in the world fighting the best in the world. As a fan, that should be what we care about right?

It has no impact on Eddie's contract.Remember, he reached a settlement with Bellator rather than signing their 'matched' UFC contract. His new contract with Bellator is a one or two fight deal depending on the outcome of his rematch with Chandler. My guess is he also gave up on the PPV points (knowing that a Bellator PPV was VERY unlikely to top the 200K threshold needed to activate those points in the 'matched' contract) and negotiated a lump sum payment in their place. Eddie's new contract likely has no PPV clause.

I feel the same fucking way. It seems like you guys don't want more options for Mixed Martial Artists to succeed. Is that true? If it is, that would be the ultimate "FIGHTER BASHING"... Carry on.
