Pros react to GSP-Hendricks decision

The best part of Twitter is that it allows people to post their immediate thoughts when a big event occurs. In MMA, it's great to see the immediate reaction of fighters to the outcome of a big bout, especially a controversial one. When Georges St-Pierre was announced as the winner over Johny Hendricks, it of course led to a flood of tweets from fighters, fans, and media alike:

Kevin Iole: St Pierre wins a split decision .. I strongly disagree. Bad call

Ariel Helwani: Wow. GSP wins via split decision. Man.

Matt Hughes: With the decision last night I would have been less surprised if they gave Johny EVERY round. Will go down as worst decision in UFC history.

Joe Lauzon: I thought Hendricks clearly had 2/4… GSP had 3… 1/5 were close, but I had GSP. #FightToFinish #ufc167

Dan Hardy: Hendricks - Dominant and impressive, just lacked the pace needed to take a title. I think he will be the next champion. Immediate rematch.

Kenny Florian: Have it 3 rounds to 2 for #GSP #AndStill #UFC167

Jeremey Piven: @FantasyBBJay: @jeremypiven @danawhite you see GSP winning? Johnny Hendricks looks like he won that fight hands down.

Johny Hendricks: Man hands are a little sore after last nights fights. But u should see the other guy lol.

Carlos Condit: W T F.... Worst decision EVER

Did you read all of them?? Only 2 out of the 8 that were posted had it scored for GSP. You should read the OP before posting that kind of shit.

other 4 minutes of round 2, not implying 4 rounds of fight.

Always thought you were a very adept poster on what can be a glorious shitshow here but really, You think the one contested round ( round 1 ) was a blow out ? If anything GSP was rocked in round 2 for about a minute and dominated the other 4. Also Dominated round 3. Round 1 either way, if anything the champ got a gift over a draw, it's not pride judging. Beat up in 4 and won 5. Bruised face vs. jacked up knee.

^And more active, and more aggressive, and more octagon control.Too bad many just see his face and make their decision right there.

Hendricks had 2 tds. GSP had 3. GSP also had the best sub attempt of the night. GSP had the better kicks.

Are you judging it round by round, or giving an "overall" assessment?

Ive been going back and forth with my opinion because Im a Gsp fan, but after watching the fight three times Hendricks won. You cant ignore the fact that he had Gsp hurt several times while Gsp didnt do anything significant in the whole fight. Hendricks got tired in the end because he went for the kill a couple of times but this isnt a marathon. Its a fight. Hendricks did more.
