Matt Hughes: GSP vs. Hendricks was 'worst decision in UFC history'

Like the majority of fans and media members, former UFC welterweight champion and current UFC vice president of athletic development and government relations Matt Hughes thought that Saturday night's main event decision was the wrong one. Further, Hughes is, like GSP's UFC 167 opponent Johny Hendricks, a wrestler with distinctly country tastes. And Hughes fought GSP three times, winning the first, but losing the second two. Thus it is perhaps not a complete shock to read Hughes tweet that it was in fact the worst decision in UFC history.

Matt Hughes @matthughes9x
•With the decision last night I would have been less surprised if they gave Johny EVERY round. Will go down as worst decision in UFC history.
Guys I like GSP. He did NOTHING wrong. It's the commission that screwed up. Look what this did to Johny. GSPs corner thought they lost.

What do you think UG? Right decision? Understandable decision? Wrong decision? Or worst decision in UFC history?

I saw it without hearing rogan and thought gsp lost15000 in attendance means jack shit especially when seeing it live means you cant see shit cuz of the cage. You successfully prove that ppl with horrible viewing angles saw something else. Plus gsp is a fan favorite so of course theyd cheer him.And most of all LMFAO at saying at using the judges as a basis for making an opinion. Let us never forget phan vs garcia 1

I vaguely remember this. If I'm not mistaken he was comparing himself to Esther, which makes an already weird situation weirder. It's really sad that with everything Matt accomplished in mma and life in general that he's as salty as he is over his losses to Georges.

I think they should have ruled the match as a draw with a rematch six months down the road, with a vacant championship waiting for the winner, or even put the top four in a tournament of sorts to EARN the welterweight championship.

Creepy moment. I used to stray glued to every episode of TUF-he did this thing where he made everyone on his team read a passagge in the Bible and gues which character they saw themselves in and which one he was. Matt said he was a girl named Esther or Susie or some shit.

Can we give the more damage BS a rest? This is not Pride or pro-wrestling. MMA is a sport. Combat sports need to be be judged as objectively as possible. You can't use the Muta Scale to declare a winner. GSP won rds 1,3 and 5. One could also make a case for rd 2 being a 10/10 round.Matt hughes is full of it.
