Holm turned down UFC's first offer

Holly Holm is one of the women's bantamweight division's best prospects. As a former professional boxer, and currently undefeated in mixed martial arts, Holm has already received an offer from the UFC. However, as her boxing coach Mike Winklejohn explained, it wasn't right at the moment but he's confident Holm will transition to the UFC soon:

As Holly Holm looks to extend her professional MMA record to 6-0 Friday night, the question remains just how far "The Preacher's Daughter" is from fighting in the UFC.

According to her long-time coach Mike Winkeljohn, the UFC has already offered her a deal.

"We have talked to the UFC a few times already," Winkeljohn told MMAFighting.com. "We're just a little far apart on making the deal. We're just waiting for the UFC to make the right deal, and we're ready to go."

Sean Shelby does the match making for the women, not Joe SilvaHolly would have destroyed anyone in the TUF house, including Pena. Actually that would be a great fight. Make it happen Sean

Well tell Dana White to stop comparing them then. I also am pretty close to 100% positive the UFC isn't sharing anywhere close to the amount of revenue the make with their talent as these leagues are.Usually they make way more money on the gate alone than their reported payouts.UFC could easily make a 100,000 dollar minimum of they keep a fighter for a year... They just won't do it.

Actually, the thing I read said the "wasn't ready" comment came from her side, not the UFC. I will see if I can dig it up. And lol at thinking she is gonna make more money outside of the UFC with all of the lucrative sponsorships she will get being minutely relevant once per year.

that's the new motto "If you want a living level money, you aren't ready for the UFC. They lie we didn't offer anything"
